ETBD Expo is an annual showcase celebrating student work across technology, design, and business. I created and managed social content within the event’s existing identity, translating it into a consistent campaign system across digital platforms. The work helped build anticipation, communicate key information, and give student projects a stronger platform leading into the event.

Consider This Your Invitation

Once a year, Miami University's ETBD Expo puts the weird, ambitious, and experimental on display. Technology, business, design, and a whole lot of big ideas collide in one showcase built around the people making what's next.

For 2025, Modern Intelligence needed a visual identity that could keep up. Sleek, fluid, futuristic, and just unconventional enough to feel like ETBD.

Building the Hype

Working as part of a SCRUM team meant designing more than a few good-looking graphics. The system had to work for everyone using it.

I helped translate Modern Intelligence into a flexible visual language centered on fluid 3D imagery, sharp typography, restrained color, and a clean information hierarchy.

From campaign layouts and event graphics to accessibility, print, and digital considerations, the guidelines gave our team a shared framework without designing every ounce of personality out of it.

The goal was controlled experimentation: enough structure to keep the Expo recognizable, with enough room for a multidisciplinary team and the work we were celebrating to get a little weird.

More Than a Save-the-Date

ETBD Expo was built to showcase ideas still becoming something bigger. Its identity needed to do the same.

The final system gave a collaborative team the tools to move quickly, stay consistent, and bring Modern Intelligence across screens, print, and event materials without losing its edge. Because when you're inviting people to come see the future, the invitation should probably look like it belongs there.
